Noor Shehzad
Founder and Director
Noor Shahzad is a research fellow at MHRC lums. She is interested in migration and mobility studies to bring to light contemporary stories of migrants from the global south. Her research interests include gender, literary cultures and contemporary South Asia.

Safwan Khan is a public policy professional who has worked at the cross-section of public service, international development, politics, and media for over a decade. Skilled in interdisciplinary public policy analysis, interagency consultation and alliance building, institutional cooperation, and public affairs, he has worked with government, non-government, and multilateral organizations in South Asia, UK, Australia, Canada and the MENA region.

Consultant
Lala Rukh Khan, Program Manager at Duke University’s DevLab, researches gender, labor markets, health, and inheritance rights in Pakistan. She has extensive field and implementation experience working at CERP. She holds a MA in Demography from UC Berkeley on the Fulbright scholarship.

Hafiz Ahmed Muhammad B, a Spanish multimedia journalist of Pakistani origin based in Barcelona, Spain, has been working for German public broadcast Deutsche Welle since 2017. Alongside his role, he produces documentaries for InfoMigrants, specializing in migration and refugee stories, shedding light on their challenging journeys. He also focuses on the difficulties faced by host societies in Europe in dealing with irregular immigrants.

Noor Habib’s research interests include translation, modern Urdu poetry, and twentieth century Indo-Persian literary exchange. Research for her dissertation has been supported by the American Institute of Pakistan Studies and the Graduate School at UMass. Previously, she taught for the Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies program at LUMS, Lahore (2020-22). Apart from her doctoral work, she is co-translating a representative selection of poetry by Miraji, tentatively titled Oblivion and Eternity Within Me.
